If game development is an artform, then surely game art must be the most artsy artform of all time, amirite?? OK, maybe not ALL time, but we think itโ€™s a pretty darn important part of building our unique brand of comedy games, loved by players young and old!

Are you an (appropriately artsy) Senior Game Artist who gets a buzz from taking ownership and applying their creative skills and technical knowledge on a daily basis? If so, then read on!

What You Will Do

You will join one of our small (but perfectly formed) project teams currently working on a brand new multiplayer game for mobile/tablet.

Working closely with the teamโ€™s Game Director and the studio Art Director, your mission is to uphold and deliver on the artistic vision, own all art related areas of the project and to support your team in the launch and ongoing live development of the game.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure game adheres to the established artistic vision
  • Design, build and iterate on Unity UI layouts
  • Support the project and team in all art related areas
  • Contribute to and supervise production of 2D & 3D assets
  • Level dress up/decoration
  • Write briefs, review and approve assets made by external artists
  • Create concepts for in-game cosmetic items
  • Estimation and planning of art related tasks

Requirements

  • Extensive Unity experience
  • Art octopus - seasoned game art generalist
  • Ability to adapt to art styles
  • Familiar with Unity UI
  • Strong visual and verbal communication skills
  • Sweet Illustrator and Photoshop skills
  • 6+ years of game art experience

Bonus Traits

  • Blender experience
  • Shipped at least one game as the sole or lead artist
  • Worked with a similar visual style to ours

Application Deadline & Start Date

The application deadline is 5th January 2025, but we will process applications as soon as we can. We anticipate a start date of around March or April, but the sooner the better!

What the TRIBAND?

Triband is an independent, Danish games developer famous for the international award winning mobile games WHAT THE GOLF? and WHAT THE CAR?

We make people laugh by focusing on exploring comedy through gameplay. We like breaking player expectations, wondrous music, slick art and quirky vibes. We experiment. A lot. It doesnโ€™t always work out, but we always learn something!
