Senior Gameplay Programmer

Our declared mission at Triband is to make people laugh, and we see XR/spatial πŸ‘“ gaming as a great opportunity to do just that. We launched our first VR game WHAT THE BAT? last year and WHAT THE GOLF? on Apple Vision Pro this year. We are currently working on new projects.

If you thrive using code to develop your own and others’ game ideas further πŸŽͺ - and you value working creatively with other designers and programmers to make loveable games in Unity - join the Triband team and help us make games. 🍌🐴

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Be part of our spatial comedy team working to expand the gameplay of our existing games and help make new ones.

Help us take our games even further! We have kept pushing the boundaries of comedy in games, resulting in multiple successful live games. We intend to keep doing so, with your help.

In close cooperation with the game designers, you will help develop new jokes, features, levels, and bring new games to life. You will be part of development all the way from ideas to fully playable games. Aside from implementing your own ideas, you will also be working closely with designers, artists, and programmers.

We work in Unity and everyone on the team works hands-on in the editor. Everyone is part of defining and prioritizing their own tasks. The job involves silly physics, bad jokes, stupid ideas, failed prototypes, and lots of laughs.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Come up with your own ideas, solutions, and wacky things
  • Make new features, levels, and gameplay mechanics
  • Keep new and existing content bug-free
  • And later on, develop and help ship new content updates

      REQUIREMENTS:

      • Comfortable prototyping ideas, and discarding or iterating on them
      • Proficiency in C# and a deep knowledge of the Unity engine and editor
      • 4+ years of experience and having shipped games as part of a team (does not have to be with XR)
      • Experienced user of version control software (we use git)
      • Comfortable using VR headsets (no excessive motion sickness)

        ADDED BONUSES:

REQUIREMENTS FOR ANY JOB OPENING AT TRIBAND:

          • You thrive in taking ownership of your area, spotting problems, asking for advice when in doubt, and implementing your own solution.
          • You actively support a culture of collaboration, mutual respect, inclusiveness, and creativity.
          • A great working environment is important for you and you help out around you.
          • You have team production experiences, such as using git, branching, stand-ups, sprints, and reviews.

            PRACTICALITIES:

            • 37 hours work week with options for flexible schedules
            • No crunch - people over deadlines

            • The job is on-site at our nice office in downtown Copenhagen, Denmark. (We can't help with relocation, sorry!)

              WE OFFER:

              • Quite silly projects
              • Very nice colleagues
              • Pretty chill and non-competitive working environment where failure is part of the success
              • Lunch included (also vegetarian/vegan options)
              • Paid parental leave
              • Pension plan
              • Health Insurance

                DEADLINE AND START:

The application deadline is April 15, 2024, but we'll look at applications as they arrive.

We hope that you can start as soon as possible, but we will wait for the right candidate.

                WHAT THE TRIBAND?

We make people laugh! To do so, we focus on exploring comedy through gameplay. We like breaking player expectations, wonderous music, slick art, and a quirky atmosphere. We experiment a lot and it doesn’t always work out, but we always learn something.

We are currently ~37 people of 11 different nationalities. We put people first and strive to create a safe and creative working environment. We believe that teams, not individuals, make games - and we believe diversity makes for better teams. For these reasons, we look for people, who make the team better, bring new perspectives, and will challenge us and our way of doing things!
