QA for comedy games

If you’re a QA person with a love of comedy games, easy-going teams and want to shape your own work - this could be your dream job!

Hi, hello, we are Triband, and we are looking for a QA person to join our silly games studio in Copenhagen. 🛠️ Because nothing kills a joke like a crash right before the punchline. Join us and let's create something that makes people laugh! 🐴

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will own the quality assurance of all parts of the game, from production and through to live ops. In this role, you will be joining a team creating an exciting new multiplayer game, and you will be responsible for testing that.

You will also be the advocate for good QA practices, shaping them to fit you, the team, the game and the studio. We are looking for someone who is hyped about QA, and who will take pride in making our QA approaches shine.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Test the game, of course!
  • Figure out the best ways of testing dependent on the game and the point of development
  • Set up procedures for testing, like test cases
  • Plan what to test, and when
  • Review and prioritize bugs in collaboration with your teammates
  • Coordinate with our external QA testers, making sure we use their and your time efficiently

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience working in a QA role in games
  • Experienced working with bug-tracking tools such as Notion, JIRA, or similar.
  • Comfortable speaking up and communicating with your teammates
  • Experience working with test cases - bonus if you've also written and managed them!

    BONUS

    • Solid knowledge of live game development cycles
    • Understanding of multiplayer live service games
    • Have managed external QAs
    • Familiarity with game engines and dev tools

REQUIREMENTS FOR ANY JOB OPENING AT TRIBAND

    • You thrive in taking ownership of your area, spotting problems, asking for advice when in doubt, and implementing your own solution.
    • You actively support a culture of collaboration, mutual respect, inclusiveness, and creativity.
    • A great working environment is important for you and you help out around you.
    • You have team production experiences, such as using git, branching, stand-ups, sprints, and reviews.

      PRACTICALITIES

      • 37 hours work week with options for flexible schedules
      • No crunch - people over deadlines
      • Our working language is English
      • The job is on-site at our nice office in downtown Copenhagen, Denmark. (We can't help with relocation, sorry!)

      WE OFFER

      • Quite silly projects
      • Very nice colleagues
      • Small teams, with a short road from idea to action
      • Pretty chill and non-competitive working environment where failure is part of the success
      • Lunch included (also vegetarian/vegan options)
      • Paid parental leave
      • Pension plan
      • Health Insurance

      DEADLINE AND START

The application deadline is October 18 2024, but we'll look at applications as they arrive.

We hope that you can start as soon as possible, but we will wait for the right candidate.

      WHAT THE TRIBAND?

We make people laugh! To do so, we focus on exploring comedy through gameplay. We like breaking player expectations, wonderous music, slick art, and a quirky atmosphere. We experiment a lot and it doesn’t always work out, but we always learn something.

We are currently ~37 people of 11 different nationalities. We put people first and strive to create a safe and creative working environment. We believe that teams, not individuals, make games - and we believe diversity makes for better teams. For these reasons, we look for people, who make the team better, bring new perspectives, and will challenge us and our way of doing things!
